Welcome to Sun Drenched Table.
There is a question I return to at the beginning of every season.
How do I want to experience it?
Not rush through it.
Not simply watch it pass.
But truly live inside it.
Sun Drenched Table grew from a simple belief: every season offers something worth paying attention to.
It’s where I write about the seasons as they unfold—through food, gardens, films, books, music, art, home, and the quiet rituals that make ordinary life memorable. Some weeks that looks like a recipe inspired by the farmers market. Other times it’s a film that captures the feeling of late summer, a playlist for the first cool morning of autumn, a garden lesson learned in the Texas heat, or an essay about why a painting, a piece of music, or a film refuses to leave my mind.
Life becomes extraordinary when we learn to notice it.
I believe the most meaningful lives aren’t built from extraordinary moments alone. They’re built from paying attention to the ordinary ones: the first peaches of summer, the smell of basil after watering the garden, candlelight on an October evening, fresh bread shared around a table, or the way the changing light reminds us that another season has quietly arrived.
If you’ve ever wished life felt a little slower, a little richer, or a little more memorable, I hope you’ll feel at home here.
My hope is that these pages inspire you to slow down, cultivate a beautiful life, and fully inhabit the season you’re in.
Welcome.
— Lily H.

seasonal almanacs - immersive seasonal journals and guides to help you experience each season through rituals, recipes, books, films, playlists, traditions, and the small moments that make a season unforgettable (four for four seasons).
this week at the table - seasonal recipes inspired by what's growing, what i'm craving, and the meals that invite people to gather around the table.

at home - thoughtful interiors, slow renovations, and seasonal decorating. this is a look into the quiet process of creating a home that reflects the life being lived inside it.
lovin’ lately - a zero-gatekeeping zone for my current hyperfixations. It could be a new playlist, album, tv-series, movie, a skincare holy grail, the perfect vintage glasses, a recipe I’ve made three nights in a row, or a book I can't put down. tell me what you're loving, too. let's compare notes.
what i’m listening to - the albums, songs, and curated playlists keeping me company right now. my life has a permanent soundtrack, so you can pretty much expect everything from late-night lofi and indie to cozy jazz tracks. they say you can tell everything about a person by what they listen to, so consider this an open invitation to peer into my headphones (and hopefully find some shared taste).
the greenhouse journal - gardening in Texas, flower beds in progress, and weekend nursery trips. expect a lot of dirt under my fingersnails, the quiet lessons only a garden can teach, and probably a meltdown or two when the Texas heat inevitably tries to incinerate everything i love.
solstice society (coming soon) - a cozy, dedicated corner for paid subscribers.
Whether we're cooking, gardening, watching a film, or welcoming a new season, everything here begins with the same belief: life becomes extraordinary when we learn to notice it.
These pages are for romantics, homebodies, creative souls, and anyone yearning to savor life, slowly, beautifully, and with intention.
