🕷️ A Haunted Wishlist: Pottery Barn’s 2025 Halloween Preview
P.S. if you are not a spooky ghoul, beware—this post is drenched in Halloween. It’s best you turn back now.
P.S. if you are not a spooky ghoul, beware—this post is drenched in Halloween. It’s best you turn back now.
On Friday the 13th, Pottery Barn dropped a sneak peek of their Halloween collection—and I’ve been spiraling ever since. I picked up a couple of things (miraculously, I didn’t buy the whole collection), but I had to restrain myself.
I'm trying to be mindful with spending, especially since I know Anthropologie will release their Halloween pieces soon, and I want to leave room for that too. It’s all about collecting with intention. Does it take more time to build your collection that way? Absolutely. But it’s worth it—because you’re not wasting money on anything you don’t absolutely love.
Plus, my storage situation is limited. Every piece I bring in has to be both beautiful and wise.
I already have a vision for this year’s table. Picture this: a velvet or silk tablecloth in rich purple, sea moss, autumn orange, or burgundy—something lush and moody. Layered over it? A sheer black tablecloth with delicate spiderweb designs.
Have I found any of those pieces yet? No—except the sheer spiderweb overlay. Pottery Barn had one last year, but I missed it. Still, the dream is alive.
In the meantime, I wanted to share what I’m currently obsessed with from this year’s Pottery Barn Halloween sneak peek—just in case you haven’t seen it yet.
🍽️ Scary Squad Dinner Plates

The Scary Squad collection is to die for. I only picked up the dinner plates—couldn’t resist. The detail is incredible, right down to the bat indentations. I love that they took the time to add that depth. It’s always the little things.
I imagine serving something rich and autumnal on them—maybe roasted squash pasta or a bubbling baked brie—by candlelight, of course.
🕸️ Scary Squad Cocktail Napkins
Yes to a sustainable queen moment. I love this set in black—there’s also a cakey brown (more of a wheat tone), which is cute too, but I’m partial to the little ghost on this one. We’re staying on theme, and these fit the spooky-chic vibe perfectly.
I’d layer them beneath vintage glassware or tuck them beside mini dessert plates for a sweet little ghostly surprise. They also pair beautifully with gold flatware or bone-handled utensils for that extra eerie elegance.
💀 Skeleton Place Holder Card Holders
Equal parts eerie and elegant, these little skeletal hands are the ultimate Halloween dinner party touch. I can already picture them resting on black plates or nestled into mossy charger trays. If they’re still around next month, I’ll be grabbing a set.
🥂 Skeleton Drinkware

I’m obsessed with the skeleton champagne glasses—just look at those hands. So well-crafted and detailed. This is part of the Skeleton Drinkware collection, which I started last year when I picked up the martini glasses. I’m tempted to add the champagne flutes next. I like building this collection slowly, piece by piece.
I can already see myself serving blood orange mimosas in them during a haunted brunch or a spooky soirée.
🏚️ Haunted House Lidded Candy Bowl
Will I use it as a candy bowl? Probably not—we hand out full-size bars, and I’m not sure they’d fit. But I’ll definitely be using it as a treat jar for Prudence. It feels like the perfect little haunted mansion for her goodies.
Prudence loves Halloween—mostly because it means extra treats and a front-row seat for spooky porch action.
🎃 Jack-O-Lantern Garden Stake
This one is just so cool. It reminds me of the opening scene in The Nightmare Before Christmas—when Jack emerges from the shadows, but we don’t know it’s him yet. Pure Halloween magic.
I need this in my front yard. I’ve been slowly curating a little graveyard out there, and while it’ll take a few years to fully realize the vision, I’m so excited about where it’s headed. This would be a total investment piece—but where would I store it?! That’s always the challenge with oversized décor. I keep saying I’ll eventually buy a shed… but honestly? I’d make space in my closet if it meant bringing this one home.
Also, yes—we’ve already started buying Halloween candy. We hand out full-size bars (iconic behavior, I know), so we like to build the stash slowly. Sour candy is always a crowd favorite.
👻 Lil Ghost Witch
She’s giving whimsical ghost girl in her cottagecore era. I saw her, and that was it. Into the bag, no questions asked.
🕯️ Regret Not Purchasing
There are a couple of pieces I deeply regret not grabbing last year—mainly these two. I’m the kind of person who sets a monthly budget and sticks to it, so I told myself I’d wait until the next month to buy them. Rookie mistake.
They sold out within days. People are now reselling them on eBay for $250 a piece. Shook, haunted, and humbled.
If you ever spot one in the wild… buy it, and message me immediately. I’ll Venmo you. No questions asked.
🌙 Wrapping Up
Whether you’re building your dream graveyard one stake at a time or just on the hunt for the perfect ghost napkin, I hope this brought you a little haunted joy. Let me know if you enjoy this kind of seasonal content—I had so much fun putting it together.
I love autumn, I love Halloween, and I especially love curating magical little moments like this. It’s my favorite time to celebrate home, ritual, and the tiny details that make a table—or a porch—feel enchanted.
If you have any favorite Halloween finds or traditions, I’d love to hear about them.
